Tiffany Callender

Tiffany Callender is a community leader and advocate dedicated to advancing economic prosperity for Black communities in Canada. She is the co-founder of Federation of African Canadian Economics and played a key role in developing the Black Entrepreneurship Loan Fund to expand access to capital for Black entrepreneurs. Tiffany has been recognized for her impact with honours including the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur “Ones to Watch” award and recognition among the most influential Black Canadians.

Jean Barrett

Jean Barrett is the Manager of the Community Microfinance Program at Alterna Savings, where she oversees multiple microloan portfolios supporting small business owners in the Greater Toronto Area and Ottawa. With more than 25 years of banking experience in retail and commercial sectors, she works closely with entrepreneurs and community organizations to provide guidance on business planning, credit, and financing. Jean is also an active community mentor and speaker dedicated to expanding access to capital and financial knowledge for emerging entrepreneurs.

Fatiha Senhaji

Fatiha Senhaji is the Vice President of Inclusive Entrepreneurship at the Business Development Bank of Canada, where she leads the national strategy to support underserved and diverse entrepreneurs across Canada. A trilingual and award-winning business development leader, she brings extensive experience in banking, strategy, and risk management, including senior roles at BMO Financial Group. Passionate about expanding opportunity, Fatiha works to remove barriers and improve access to financing, resources, and networks for underrepresented business owners.

Dorothy Vernon-Brown

Dorothy Vernon-Brown is a marketing automation and AI strategist and the founder of AKB² Small Business Marketing, where she helps entrepreneurs grow through smart systems and strategic marketing. Known for her “strategy first” approach, she has helped clients achieve measurable results, including increased revenue and stronger campaign performance. An author and community leader, Dorothy was named a Woman of Honour by the Black Business and Professional Association for her contributions to Canada’s Black business community.

Leonard is the Program Manager for the RISE Program at Sheridan EDGE, supporting entrepreneurs and social impact ventures in Canada and internationally. With a background in business strategy, financial services, and program development, he has supported more than 350 founders and led multiple innovation initiatives. He holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship with a specialization in Impact Investing from Colorado State University.

Allison Williams

Allison Williams is a community advocate, coach, and social impact entrepreneur dedicated to empowering families and marginalized communities. Beginning her journey supporting families as a nanny, she later worked in social services before founding a parenting business after moving to Canada in 2008. She now mentors families, supports youth, and leads the Black Women Collective Social Enterprise, fostering connection.

Ainsworth Slowly is the Founder and Creative Director of CrueTV Digital Media Network, a social enterprise focused on media, digital education, and technology.
